Masonry Restoration

The freeze-thaw cycles in the Midwest can wreak havoc on masonry construction.  Freeze-thaw cycles can cause the mortar to fail and wall sections to shift.  These actions allow water to infiltrate the masonry and cause more damage, including damaging the steel structural elements of the building.  When this occurs, these areas must be taken down and rebuilt.  It is common that the wall section must be dismantled in order to determine the magnitude of the repair required.  With years of experience, the craftsmen at Gateway are experts at repairing every type masonry wall including terra cotta, brick, stone, granite, marble, and precast concrete.
